What an Athlete

I, Aaron Matthew Breslow, get most of my news from the headlines on Yahoo as I check my email account, and today I came across this article about an 8th grade student that plays High School football and blows away his competition. Sony Michael rushed for 1,285 yards and for 18 touchdowns, and the boy is only in middle school. He is being called the best 8th grade football player in the country. You should check out the article at http://highschool.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1032626 and tell me, Aaron Matthew Breslow, what you think. I think if he’s this good now, he is definitely someone to look for in the future.

Does Money Buy A World Series

Aaron Matthew Breslow is contemplating the fact of whether or not a World Series can be bought. Of course a great player comes with a high price but that doesn’t mean you’re buying a series. In life, you get what you pay for, and the baseball draft is no exception. The Yankees played by all of the MLB’s rules and came out on top this year for the first time in 9 years. The only problem the Yankees will have is that they have high dollar contracts with a few of their players, which leaves little to no money to acquire new talent. I, Aaron Matthew Breslow, recommend that you read the article on Wall Street Journal about buying the World Series http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703683804574534021373434110.html?mod=googlenews_wsj

World Series 2009 Champions

Do three balls plus two strikes equal twenty-seven? If Aaron Matthew Breslow is talking about World Series 2009, the answer is a sports casters’ emphatic“ yes!” Now, before all the math teachers begin to protest, I must explain this curious math riddle. The New York Yankees have won their 27th world championship with a remarkable victory of 7-3. If I were to write a newspaper article on the World Series 2009, the headline would read “Yankees dominate over the Phillies in Game 6 of the 2009 World Series.

I’m certain that that winning the world championship was the primary and driving goal of every individual on the Yankee franchise. With this great of an accomplishment I’m sure all the tough times during Spring Training seem negligible, in retrospect. And despite a very difficult journey on the long road, year after year, New York City receives the long awaited gift from Yankee Stadium boss Steinbrenner.

Is new Yankee stadium bad luck?

Aaron Matthew Breslow was just wondering if maybe the Yankees left some of their mojo at the old stadium. I mean, Chase Utley defied the odds by  hitting two solo home runs which lead them to their victory against the Yankees. I can’t believe the Phillies spanked the Yankees 6 to 1. You have to love when the underdog comes out on top like that. I wonder what it was like to be in the new stadium down by four runs until the 9Th inning. I doubt it was a happy place to be. I can’t wait to watch Game 2 tomorrow night and see if the Phillies can pull it off again. It is no easy feat to beat a team that has won 26 World Series titles and  40 AL pennants.

Agility Drills

In order to be a dominant second baseman like Aaron Matthew Breslow, 2nd base agility drills are essential. Using agility ladders will greatly improve your foot and hand quickness. Other agility drills you should practice are:

  1. Square Rope Jumping  – jump rope in the shape of a square
  2. Alternate Feet - jump twice on your right foot then twice on your left foot alternating with 30-35 seconds rest in between.
  3. 3 Jumps, then Double Jump -  Jump 3 times, then do a double jump. Rest for 30 second in between one minute sets of 2.

These are just a few drills you should work hard at to improve your game and become a stand-out second baseman like Aaron Matthew Breslow
